Impact of Climate Change on Groundwater Level in Religious Places

Project Idea :
Impact of Climate Change on Groundwater Level in Religious Places

Requirement :
Hydro-metereological, Future Climate and groundwater level Data, Knowledge about Predictive Groundwater Models.

Justification of the Study :
A significant characteristic of religious place is uncontrolled extraction of groundwater. During climate change when rainfall and temperature will either increase or decrease, the extraction of groundwater can induce implication on the level of the same. As a result the very extraction of groundwater will be difficult.

Brief Methodology :
After collecting the relevant data, a model can be prepared to predict the level of groundwater of the religious place. Models like visual groundwater or an entirely new model can be developed by various metaheuristic methods.

Start Up Idea : Flood Forecasting with BIRR and Wildfire Impacts

Start-Up Idea : Flood Forecasting Models considering BIRR and Wildfire Impacts. Flood Forecasting Models : A flood forecasting model will typically comprise of a hydrological component in which flood discharges are estimated from rainfall measurements and forecasts, and a hydrodynamic component, in which the water levels along the entire river network are calculated. Building-induced rainfall redistribution : Microtopography on the building roof direct the rainfall from roofs to the ground through the downspouts and transform the rainfall spatial distribution from plane to points. This is known as Building Induced Rainfall Redistribution(BIRR). Wildfire Impacts : Ater or during a wildfire the unknowns associated with such events are its effects on vegetation and soil conditions that influence hydrologic processes including infiltration, surface runoff, erosion, sediment transport, and flooding. At the time of development of the hydrologic models, such impacts need to be consid...

Micro-Submarine for Water Quality Monitoring

Idea : Sub-Water Marine System For Under Water Quality Monitoring. Sub-Water Marine System: Sub-water marine systems i.e., underwater vehicles allow the exploration of the ocean depths and vast regions of the seafloor. Water Quality Monitoring :  Water quality and wastewater monitoring are fundamental tools in the management of freshwater resources and they provide essential information characterizing the physical, chemical, and/or biological status of water resources, determining trends and changes over time, and identifying emerging water quality issues. Area of Application/Consumers : Shipping, Tourism, Hotel, Water Park Industries.  Underwater vehicle systems can be prepared and special sensors can be developed and fixed in the vehicles to monitor the underwater quality which will be beneficial for Shipping, Tourism, hotels, Water Park, etc. Industries. The vehicle should be small and remotely controlled and must have autoresponse systems to mitigate or alert about the haz...

Application of Data Science Techniques in Optimal Management of PeriUrban Watersheds

What is the Work Plan? After the watershed is selected the data on water availability needs to be calculated from the climatic and hydrologic data. The total population of the watershed also needs to be collected and per capita, water availability is required to be approximated. Now you can generate a choropleth map indicating the per capita water availability. If the variation within the watersheds as indicated by the choropleth map is much more than expected then the watershed is vulnerable and needs to be managed optimally. Otherwise, it is assumed that the watershed is already managed well. However, to reduce the variation between different areas optimization techniques may be applied for minimization of the variation keeping the average per capita water availability the same.
